The Reed & Witting workflow is what sets us above our competition, and it is our people that make the workflow possible.
Our sales staff is different. Yes, they spend time on the street like good salespeople should. But they also spend a siginificant amount of time in the shop, working directly with our production personnel. Our sales representatives and CSR's are all veterans of the printing industry. Many of them have worked production at some point! What this means is that your sales reps can often spot problems with jobs before they even enter production and suggest solutions before it costs you time and money.
Once you've decided to print with us, your artists and production personnel have access to our prepress experts. Not sure how to set up your file? Don't have the time or the people to finish that Photoshop work? Forgot a last-minute fix? Our prep technicians are happy to help your creative department produce artwork that will print like they had imagined it would. When your files are ready, put them on a disk or, better yet, send them directly to our production server via our T1-speed ftp uplink. Our prepress people are proficient with all the major applications (QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, Freehand, Indesign, Pagemaker, etc.), and we run all jobs on the platform that you used (Mac or PC) so there are no surprises.
Don't have time for a physical proof? We use the AGFA Apogee system for digital prepress which uses Adobe PDF as its internal format. That means that we can give you our actual production PDF file as a digital proof. Do you prefer a proof that you can hold in your hand? We offer contract-quality color proofing through the AGFA Grand Sherpa 50.
When your job is printed, it is under the careful eye of our pressmen, who have decades of experience. Our pressmen work in concert with our other production personnel, management and sales people to insure that what is printed is exactly what the customer intended.
So what makes Reed & Witting different? A lot of printers will quote low, then make up the difference when your files are not exactly right. We don't believe in doing business that way. Any member of our production staff can stop the process at any time if they notice something unusual, and are encouraged to do so. All of us want your job to print correctly the first time, and to look just like you pictured it. We're not art critics, but if we see something that doesn't look quite right, we'll let you know up front, before it costs you more of your valuable time and money to fix than is necessary.
We're a family. We get along here. We help each other. We'd like to help you, too.
